Terms of Use
By using Contribution Room ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
A tracking tool, not advice
The app helps you keep track of contribution room and deadlines. It is not tax, legal, investment or financial advice. Figures are based on what you enter and on published limits that can change. For accounts where your personal room comes from the government, such as your CRA My Account or notice of assessment, the government's figure is the one that counts. Check with the CRA, the IRS or a qualified professional before you rely on any number. Over-limit and tax figures in the app are rough estimates only.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for your contributions, for staying within your limits and for any tax or penalties that result. We are not responsible for errors in the information you enter or for decisions you make using the app.
Premium, subscriptions and purchases
Premium is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription (which may include a free trial) and a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is taken by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Google Play or Apple ID subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds are handled by the store under its own rules. Prices are shown in the app.
Your data
Your data stays on your device, so you are responsible for keeping backups. If you lose or reset your device without a backup, we cannot recover your data. See the Privacy Policy.
Using the app
Use the app only for lawful purposes and do not try to copy, reverse engineer, disrupt or resell it, except where the law allows. The app and its design belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on your devices.
No warranty and limit of liability
The app is provided "as is", without promises that it will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss that comes from relying on the app's figures. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. If we make an important change, we will tell you in the app or on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR PROVINCE OR STATE AND COUNTRY].
