Privacy Policy
Contribution Room ("the app") is built so that your financial information stays on your phone. This page explains what the app does and does not do with information.
What stays on your device
The accounts you track, the contributions and withdrawals you enter, your goals, your profiles and your settings are stored only on your device. We do not receive them, and we cannot see them. The app does not ask you to create an account and does not connect to banks or brokerages.
What we collect
We do not collect personal information through the app. We do not use advertising, advertising identifiers or analytics tools that track you.
Limits file
From time to time the app downloads a small public file from this website that holds contribution limits and deadlines. The request is the same for everyone and carries no information about you or your accounts. Like any web request, it is visible to our website host (GitHub Pages or your host), which may log the IP address.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. They process your payment and share with us only what we need to know that Premium is active. We never see your card details. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.
Notifications
Reminders are created on your device. They are not sent from a server.
App lock
If you turn on app lock, the app asks your phone's operating system to check your fingerprint, face or PIN. The app does not receive or store your biometric data.
Backups and exports
Backup, CSV and PDF files are created only when you ask. You choose where they go. Once a file leaves the app, it is under the control of whichever app or service you shared it with.
Children
The app is not directed at children. A profile you create for a child's account (such as an RESP) is stored only on your device.
Deleting your data
Use Settings, then Delete all data, or uninstall the app. Because we do not hold your data, there is nothing for us to delete on a server.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. If a change affects how your information is handled, we will say so in the app.
